About Mood
Mood is an app for finding what's on tonight. Gigs, club nights, festivals and films in 14 cities, with the small underground stuff listed right next to the big shows. We started it in Athens in 2023.
What Mood does
The app
Free on iOS and Android. Pick a date or a genre, see everything that's on, follow the artists and venues you like, and get tickets without leaving the app.
Just ask
Type it the way you'd text a friend. "Something techno in Athens tonight, not too big." Mood comes back with actual events you can go to, not a list of venue names.
Blend
For when the group chat can't decide. Start a blend, send the link to your friends, and Mood mixes everyone's taste into one list of nights you'd all go to. It goes by the artists you've liked and the events you've saved, plus your Spotify top artists if you connect it, so nobody has to answer a poll. Everyone taps I'm in and that's the plan. Events on the web
Everything in the app is also on events.musicofourdesire.com. Every city, venue and artist has its own page, so you can send a night out to your friends as a link.
Cinema
We also list what's playing in cinemas across Greece and in Los Angeles. New films, old classics coming back, and the open air cinemas every summer.
Reports and the blog
We write about the nights we go to, and we publish reports from our own data. What each city listens to, what a night out costs, when people actually go out.
What makes Mood different
The small gigs too
The basement party, the rebetiko night in a taverna, the jazz set on a Tuesday. In Athens alone we list 1,500+ venues, and most of them you won't find on the big ticketing sites.
No booking fees
When you buy a ticket through Mood you pay the ticket price. We don't add anything on top.
Ask or scroll
You can ask Mood in English, Greek or French, or skip that and browse the whole agenda yourself. Same events either way.
City by city
We learned early that you can't copy one city's scene onto another. So we build each city from how people there actually go out. Athens is home and still the city we know best, with 23,000+ events listed so far.
Plans for the whole group
Most apps help you find something for yourself. Blend finds the night that works for all of you, and shows why it picked it, like who has the lineup in their Spotify and who saved that venue last month.
No ads
There are no ads in the app and we don't sell your data.

The team behind Mood
Dimitris Komninos, founder and CEO
Dimitris started Mood in Athens in 2023 and still runs it day to day. You'll find him on LinkedIn.
How it started
The first Mood wasn't an app. It was a few small devices in Athens clubs that picked up which track was playing. Then we turned to DJs and put together a platform that had more than 1,000 Athens DJs on it within three months. We tried the same thing in Amsterdam and it didn't work. That's where we learned that a city's scene can't be copied, and Mood became what it is now, an answer to the question everyone asks on a Friday. What are we doing tonight? (LiFO, June 2026)
The team today
We're about 15 people, all in one office on Asklipiou, just up from Akadimias. Most of us write code for the app and the AI behind it. The rest come from the music scene, and they make sure what's in the app is actually worth going to. There's no big hierarchy. And yes, there's an office dog.

Get the app for iOS or Android, pick your city and the music you're into, and you're set. Everything is also on the web.
Where the events come from
Every day we go through ticketing sites, venue pages and social media and bring it all into one agenda. Venues and promoters can also work with us directly to list their nights and sell tickets.

What is Blend?
Blend is how you plan a night out with friends in the Mood app. You start a blend for your city, invite people with a link, and Mood suggests concerts that fit everyone's taste, based on what each of them has liked and saved, and their Spotify if they connect it. Everyone taps I'm in and the plan is done.
Where do the events come from?
We collect them every day from ticketing sites, venues, promoters and their social media, and put them all in one place. Venues and promoters can also work with us directly.
Can I use Mood's data?
Yes. Our reports are published under CC BY 4.0, so you can quote them and reuse them as long as you credit Mood. For logos and a short description of Mood, see the press kit.
